Proverbs 27:17
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
I happened to be flicking channels and landed on Joel Osteen’s show this morning. As I listened for a few minutes, I found myself agreeing with his message today. We can’t spend all of our time tying to fix everyone else’s problems. We need balance. We need to surround ourselves with others who inspire us, too.
I searched online for his notes and was hoping to find the scripture passage connected with his message today. Instead, I found this:

I love his thought– “You can’t hang out with chickens and expect to fly like eagles.”
I believe God has a plan for each one of us and he loves us enough to place the right people in our path at the time we need them. We need to be generous with our time and talents to help others, but also surround ourselves with people who make us fly in the right direction.
