Last night, we went to hear the Python Huntress ta Last night, we went to hear the Python Huntress talk about her job. We weren’t sure what to expect, and I’m fearful of the critters down in FL anyway. But her talk was fascinating and educational. We learned so much and she eased my fear of them. But… I still won’t be “hugging” one like she’s doing in her photo. Cheers to The Python Huntress for trying to protect the Everglades from these invasive apex predators. #science #ecosystem #pythons #everglades
January is a time to try new things to kick off th January is a time to try new things to kick off the year. I #amwriting from lots of different #writingprompts and love seeing where they take me. Yesterday I read something from The Art of Noticing by Rob Walker…about taking pictures of the same sky, nearly identical photos, and then taking notice of textures, patterns, etc. I decided to stand in the same place to watch the sunset and take a photo every 15 minutes. I noticed light movement and color patterns. (First 4 photos) And I realized taking sunset photos has always interested me. I went back in my pics and pulled out a few more. (rest of photos) Beautiful and unique. I love watching the sunset and found out I have nearly 100 photos! Each one is close to my heart in story and place. ☀️💕 What do you notice? Check your phone and see for yourself. I’d love to know…. Tag me if you post yours. As for #writing, my current WIPs both have to do with people in the sky. How will this task help? I’m not sure yet. Writing is part play and part trust that all the pieces of the story will fall into place eventually. 📚😁 Enjoy your day- I’ll be watching the #sunset tonight!

We took a drive to see what the hurricane did to F We took a drive to see what the hurricane did to Ft. Myers beach. It was heart wrenching. So much devastation. But workers are there -everywhere- cleaning up, repairing, rebuilding. It’ll take some time. There are signs of hope. People walking, visiting, helping bring debris to the curb. Some stores are open and a couple food trucks set up on the roadside. Sending prayers to all those workers, and those who’ve been affected by the storm. #ftmyers #ftmyersbeach #ftmyersstrong
