Blog Challenge Day 20

What happened to all that snow?

Today’s challenge was to first think about Winter and then think about Summer…what is happening now?

I’ve always enjoyed science related news and this story made me wonder today.  The snowstorm in Buffalo dumped over 7 feet of the white stuff in one day.  Dump trucks cleared the streets, hauling the snow away.  Now, 8 months later, the everlasting snow mountain has not melted!

It makes me wonder.  We have ice shelves and glaciers that are melting away quickly.  Why can’t scientists study this snow mountain in Buffalo and find a way to save the icy ecosystem of our polar regions?  Just a quick thought…
