July 4th – Honor and Appreciation

July 4th- Honor and Appreciation

Today, is a perfect day to honor and appreciate the service and sacrifice of others. Thank you to our military members who have fought (or are currently serving) for our country’s many freedoms.

There are many individuals who deserve our respect, honor and thanks. I am in awe and inspired by the following people:

Earl Morse – Founder of the Honor Flight Network and veteran who demonstrates generosity in a big way!

Marcella LeBeau – World War II Army Nurse and Native American Elder who continues to surprise and inspire me. She is always willing to share her wisdom with others.

WWI and WWII military members who endured all sorts of challenges with fortitude, two groups in particular Native American Code Talkers and Tuskegee Airmen.

Ola “Millie” Rexroat – Fearless Native American Aviator (Women Air Force Service Pilot) in World War II who demonstrated bravery in more ways than one.

There are many more..I’ll post updates at a later date.

Happy July 4th!
