Lakota Values

Four Important Values

Lakota culture teaches certain virtues for living life.  A post for St. Joseph’s Indian School provides descriptions about these Four Values:  Generosity, Courage, Respect, and Wisdom.  The line I connected with most and made me think was:

“It is better to give a lot than to have a lot. To be called “stingy” is the worst insult.”

Both of my parents demonstrated generosity with their time, talents, love, and encouragement over the years.

I thought I’d be generous and share one of my favorite desserts with you!  A piece of cannoli cake!  Delish!

Which value description touches your life?
